Handmade Bricks

Often referred to as soft reds or red rubbers, these are a soft faced brick used throughout the South of England.  They are full of cottage charm making them a great consideration for internal feature work.  They range from orange to red in colour dependant on where they originated from.

 

Handmade bricks are a soft faced brick, imperial in size and orange/red in colour. Handmades are often known as Soft Reds and are ideal for work to period properties, or for internal and external character work.

Reclaimed Handmade bricks are original imperial bricks that date back to the 19th century and were used as a main form of building material that is still very much in view today, particularly throughout Berkshire and Surrey.

Handmades are often used for extensions on properties where the customer wishes to match the original house, or to build a new building with the character of an older building. Handmade Stocks are also often used for conservatory bases, internal walls and fireplaces, filling in gaps where windows have been removed and for external garden walls.

There are a variety of different types of Handmade Stock it is therefore important to view the bricks at our yard and create the right look for your property.  All photographs on our site are of previous projects, they are there to provide a guide when selecting your bricks. As with all reclaimed bricks they will vary from batch to batch.

Reclaimed Handmades can only be purchased in full pallets of 500. Discounts can apply to high quantity orders.

Delivery is nationwide. We aim to deliver within 48 hours from an order being placed, but please contact us should you require next day delivery and we will endeavour to meet your timescales.
